EDIT: Sorry, I meant lower GMAT score* in the title!
Target schools: UCLA, USC (FT - wanting to go into consulting or tech)
Background: International (Canadian) applicant, 27F Asian, 3.9 GPA from UBC (BA, BEd), 650 GMAT (average Quant/high Verbal)
Work experience: 6 years, half of them in teaching (high school English), other half in a operations/project management leadership role in the post-secondary/government spheres
Volunteer/EC: Mostly in teaching and tutoring disadvantaged youth across different high schools, humanitarian aid
Other: Strong LORs from my past Directors/Supervisors
Is there any sense in trying to make the R1 deadline by submitting a 650 GMAT score (aka do I have a shot)? Or is it better if I take the extra time and apply in R2 (and hopefully up my score to a 700-710 in ~2 months)? My worry is the non-traditional background that is lacking quant exp. As an international applicant, I'm also hoping to receive some $$ to help offset the cost.
Thank you!
