I have a mame151 rom pack with mame151. no other versions of mame or front on ends have been installed on this comp.

Everything works perfectly when I open mame.exe and select the game, BUT when I open my roms with mame.exe (drag roms from my folder onto mame.exe) I get this error

the roms work perfectly when i open up mame.exe and select them from the mame menu, and all the "missing" files are indeed in the .zip

If I can't open them with mame.exe I can't use it with a front end. My googling has failed. Any ideas?
