does it take a lot of fitting to replace a Garand stock?
Post Body
I "won" the lottery, or so I'm told, when the M1 I received from CMP turned out to be a USMC overhaul with a birch stock. I hear they have their own collector following. It's in great shape, shoots very well
And I haaaaate it. The orange stock just looks wrong to me. Thinking about taking it off and storing it safely while using a more traditional looking stock. Are they "plug and play" or will it take a deal of fitting ?
