Failure to feed: M1 tanker 308

Hey guys I have a tanker 308 m1 garand that I'm having feeding issues with. For some reason, around round 6-8 in my clip I get a feeding issue. So the issue looks basically like the bolt either is moving forward too quickly to engage the case head during chambering causing the round to catch either the tip or the shoulder in the chamber, or for some reason the round is binding during chambering. I don't think it's a cleaning issue, my chamber is pretty darn clean and it seems consistent to either the 6th or 8th round. Any input?
