today i awoke.

from this trance i broke.

freed my self from the masses.

no more rose tinted glasss

And i rose up and spoke.

the words that would invoke.

a seed from the ashes.

from the world that we had smashed.

into tiny pieces, a fractious nation.

of composite complexion.

no reflection, of your face, i pace

across the room, i embrace,

the scales of redemption.

tomorrow's comdennation.

but today i believe in what i see,

a freedom of society.

a wish filled mardi gras,

yet i still see people afraid to draw,

their face from the chainlink fence,

afraid that they will be next,

to be cast down and to feel flawed,

to no longer able to freely love.

So rise up, fight back,

say what you feels rights.

todays loss, is tomorrows fight.

you will not be without a friend,

if you stand for what u believe in

and continue to defend.
