Advice on dealing with chronic Lyme symptoms during treatment?

Post Body

I have chronic Lyme as well as some of the co-infections. I am getting treated and have been told I can expect to go into remission and be symptom free so long as I don't get bitten by another tick. That being said, the worst symptom I have right now is the constant and pretty strong mood swings. Which honestly I'm at a loss for how to deal with properly, any advice or things to keep in mind to get myself...emotionally stable again?

The other issue, which I'm actually embarrassed to bring up, is that my doctor has said that Lyme CAN be sexually transmitted. Seeing as I have chronic Lyme and will always be a carrier of it even if I'm cured of symptoms, this is very crushing news as I can never again have sex without a condom, I'll have to be known to partners as essentially having a life long std, and I basically feel both unsafe and unclean as a result seeing as condoms aren't even full proof to begin with.

The rest of the symptoms, the pain, the brain fog, the fatigue, I'm actually dealing pretty well with. I don't count the extreme isolation and being out of school and alone as a symptom per say, just a consequence of the situation. Hopefully I'm right in my approach of utilizing Reddit to help fill the social void I have right now.

Anyway thanks for reading all this.
