I recently switched from Uber and I’m about to switch back. Not only does Lyft do this weird adding of all the charges at end of day and keep the other authorizations for days on end, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’ve requested a priority ride, the driver is 1-3min away just for the algorithm to switch me to someone 10 minutes away. Talk about total fucking horseshit. Sure, I get the few buck refund, but there was a reason why I wanted to pay a few extra bucks to be picked up sooner. Talk about frustrating. So far my first month on Lyft has not been a good one — and I even tried Lyft Pink! Definitely not renewing that.
EDIT: Oh, and sometimes my driver switches a good 5 times in one request. If my phone dies I can all but guarantee I won’t know who the driver is because it’ll switch on me. Missed a ride the other day because of that. Great experience Lyft! I knew I should’ve taken fucking public transportation this morning.
Not to mention I take the same commute 5x a week and during busier times, Lyft is ALWAYS more expensive than Uber.
