I began to use vinted around 2 months ago and bought around 50 parcels from around Europe.
I found the shipping is very slow, never on time, for both Mondial Relay and Chronopost. The tracking message is always please be patient. The parcels from Netherlands got resent to seller immediately. Actually, twice in this month. The parcels from Spain just never arrive. From France and Belgium, up to luck.
Today I finally received a new message: parcel refused. I went to the parcel shop in contern and asked the shop lady why.
She said: we only receive parcels on Monday. Every other day, we refuse.
You can understand I was very pissed and a bit amused by the irony at the same time.
A parcel shop that only takes parcel on Monday. It’s like the beginning of a fairy tale. Lol.
The lady didn’t feel anything wrong about this. And she was very pissed at me for not being polite enough. Before I could have a conversation with her, she started shouting at me.
Then I went through all my 50 parcels I realized all the parcel shops do this. At least the ones I used. My parcels are stuck in a cycle of sent and refused by the parcel shop, until they are lost, returned to seller, or if lucky delivered on Monday.
To make it worse, vinted, chronopost, mondial they all know about this clearly. The ones I do receive usually arrive one day before or on the day of mandatory refund by vinted, even though it was not a Monday. So I have on average a delivery time of 3 weeks.
The only thing I pay the parcel shop to do is to receive my parcel for me. I don’t understand why they can refuse to receive it from the post truck after already deliver to their door.
Regardless of my bad experience, I don’t understand how mondial and chronopost can allow this waste of resources to happen.
