Hi all,
I spent the last few years coming up with an original guitar design, learning Rhino CAD, modelling it (with great difficulty) in 3D. Right before COVID hit, I even took an intro course to CNC machining at a makerspace in NYC.
Ultimately, the intro course was great, but I do not do enough of this (or plan on doing enough of this) to make a membership fee worth it, and there's still a LOT to learn about CNC before I can confidently mill a guitar myself.
Googling CNC services, as expected, gives you thousands of results, and it's quite overwhelming - mostly for industrial quantity metal work. I just want to send my 3D file somewhere, provide the body blank/neck blank, and pay a professional to hand (or ship) the cut body and neck back to me.
Does anyone else do this? Any recommendations on one of these fabrication companies (local to NY/NJ or one that will ship)? Thank you!
