Should I take my guitar to shop or buy crowning tool?

Post Body

My guitar has a couple high frets, and on one hand I like to DIY and have tools at my disposal to fix any future issues however I also saw that a good file costs about £80 which is obviously a lot more than a repair might be, but I might be able to get it quicker and therefore not have my guitar in a shop for a while. Thoughts?

As a side note, how common is it for brand new guitars to have uneven frets? Cheers!
