I'm just getting back into lush and I find the new kitchen set up interesting. How do you guys like the kitchen subscription boxes?
I love the idea of the subscription box - it'd be like a gift to myself every month. In practice, it doesn't work for me at all. :( I think I'm kind of a niche case but I'm all about shower gels, shampoo, lip scrubs & conditioners! I don't have a bath, so I don't want any bath bombs. I don't like solid soap either.
Having now looked as past months' boxes, it looks like I'd be unable to use half the products. I wish there were options to customise even slightly - like say 'no bath bombs' or whatever. :(
It's never been so hard to spend money on a bottle of shower gel! I miss flying fox, 29 high street, calacas, twilight shower gel... but I'm never ever going to be able to get them again unless I spend £35 per month to get products which I mostly won't be able to use. Who knows when they'll discontinue the next thing I like and then chuck it into a subscription box...!
I miss the old lush kitchen - the menu every week and being able to pick what you wanted. I remember refreshing madly to see the menu each week, and wrestling with the website to try to place an order before it crashed. Maybe I'm just getting old... haha.
