So weird.
Just wondering if anyone has had this issue.
I recently got an S5 used coming from a GH5S. First shoot I noticed the exposure would change slightly when recording. I thought maybe I was hitting the shutter because it’s easy to bump. Whatever.
Then I had the same problem on my second shoot. Camera on a tripod, just panning, and the same thing would happen. Luckily it basically stayed the same when pointed at the altar and brightened up for crowd shots.
So I’m super confused, and at this point it’s happened with lumix lenses and vintage primes. At home I start investigating and sure enough, if I point my camera at a light source the screen dims and the actual exposure changes.
I go through all of the settings and double check everything is in manual. It is. I keep thinking it’s just the backlight but it is recorded to the footage and the exposure meter changes in camera.
Then I find the backlight setting. I turn it off of auto and the problem is fixed. Has anyone else experienced this? It doesn’t make much sense to me
