Opencore Mac Pro 5,1 Upgrade
Post Body

I was thinking about the fact that the Mac Pro 5,1 has OCLP (Opencore Legacy Patcher) support up to Monterey, and that got me thinking.

Apparently, you can put 8 32GB DDR3 1333 MHZ DIMMs in a Mac Pro 5,1 that has Opencore enabled, making the unofficial total up to 256GB of DDR3 1333MHZ RAM supported.

Luke, would you be able to try this out on your “Maxed Out” Mac Pro 5,1 and see if the experience is any different?

Thanks in advance!
