How to guarantee lucidity with SPILD
Post Body

SPILD is the most underrated technique I've ever seen. I've tried it twice on purpose and once on accident all three times resulting in a vivid LD. On paper, this technique should guarantee you LD'S every night.

How to make SP not scary:

SPILD- sleep paralysis induced lucid dreaming. I've seen a few posts about this technique which was surprising because it was very effective for me. Let me just start off by saying that this technique is NOT FOR BEGINNERS! begginers can try it but there is a much higher chance of a scary and negative experience. If you're trying this technique, you need to handle the pressure of sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis always gets a bad rep as for most people, experiences are always so scary. I've only had one negative SP experience out of the three times I had it. That is because I was calm and I knew that what I was experiencing and seeing was not real. Sleep paralysis can actually be very nice and blissful. SP is sort of the state between being awake and asleep. You're dreams run of your expectations and so does your SP. If you expect to see big scary shadow monster you're gonna see it. If you expect nothing you won't, trust me.

Prep :

For this technique to work, you need to wake up straight from a dream in your REM stage. You need a watch or and app to tell you when you are experiencing REM. Once your REM cycles are consistent and you know when you are going through them, set an alarm during one of them. This alarm has to be very loud and sudden. You're also going to need to fall asleep flat on your back without your limbs touching, you can sleep on your side but then you have a much lower chance of experiencing SP.

With this technique id also heavily recommend practicing keeping a clear mind so just meditate 10 for 10 mins before you go to sleep.

The technique:

SP is a state were your awake but your body is asleep. This is because your body doesn't want to act out your dreams. We can induce this state very easily. Just wake up in the middle of your REM stages flat on your back. Set your alarm as a very Loud, quick, sudden noise. Id say that you have about a 90% chance of sleep paralysis if you do this. Now, when you find yourself in SP, DO NOT PANIC! Just picture your dream scene in detail. I like picturing the beach as I can visualize it very well, the sand between my feet, the wind in my ears the massive blue ocean and the smell of salt. In about five minutes, if your focusing hard enough, you will transition straight into the dream scene you imagined. It's actually really cool just teleporting on a beach from your bed.

Pros:

Very vivid dreams as you enter straight from the real world to the dream world.

Almost guaranteed chance of LD

If you don't end up in SP you can try a different technique.

You can fall asleep very easily as your body already thinks you're sleeping.

Cons:

NOT FOR BEGINNERS

Sleep paralysis can be scary AF

Conclusion:

I feel like this technique is underrated AF. As long as you're in sleep paralysis then you have a guaranteed LD. It's just everyone being a pussy about sleep paralysis. Just stay calm and don't imagine monsters in the corner of you bedroom.

This technique isn't mine but i haven't seen anyone else inducing SP in the same way I have. Anyway, id really appreciate it if anyone would like to try this technique and share their results with me please.

How are you turning off your alarm though when your experiencing SP?
