I think I just had my first experience with lucid dreaming. Although there have been times where I was aware i was dreaming, I think this is the first time I was able to control the reality of the dream altogether.
It started off as a nightmare, where one of my wisdom teeth crumbled while I was eating and I was freaking out. I thought it was real bc everything looked the same in my room and the lighting was the same as when i had fallen asleep; however, seconds later I came to the realization I was dreaming and then i realized I could control the dream. It was this different sense of awareness suddenly clicked in my brain. So I turned the dream into one that was more pleasant and changed the storyline alltogether. It was very vivid, too. Coming from a person who had nothing but nightmares from age 3 to 15, this was nice.
