Having problems with dreams affecting my real life. anyone know what to do?
Post Body

I came across this sub about a year ago, thought it was cool but was simply too busy or didnt care enough to try doing any of it. about two months ago i decided to take it up. after two dream journals i saw someone say WILD'ing was for experienced folk only so i said to hell with it and attempted it. meditated a bit got heavy spun around ended up with a baby crawling and i made it grow a moustasche. successful (albeit two second lond) WILD on my first try! feeling good i proceeded to continue pursuing an in dream lucid state. about a month worth of dream journals later my dreams started to become more vivid and i could recall them better. but this is where my problems started: the dreams started to haunt me in my waking state. see, the dreams i have depict what i want most in the world, whether that be a certain girl (but never in a sexual way ive only ever had sex in a dream once and that was long ago and with a nameless vampire chick), or a different life, or a different group of friends. my dreams were the time when i felt warmth again, where i didnt feel alone, where depression didnt plague me. it occurred to me that if i were to lucid dream these feelings, these dreams, would only be more of exactly what i want and would only make me hate my real life more and more. it started to get to a point where i couldnt look certain people in the eyes because i knew that the vivid and hard emotions i felt for them in the dreams didnt extend to real life. its pretty bad actually, waking up and feeling an intense rush of dissapointment and even depression that what i just went through never actually happened. i really dont know what to do now. i dont think the dreams will stop because ive become really good at recalling them, so would being able to lucid dream completely help out with these dreams or make the feelings worse? im sure its probably not black and white but some pointers would help a ton.
