After 2-3 weeks of keeping a regular dream journal and performing occasional reality checks (at least a few each day), I had my first lucid experience. First, I noted several things that seemed a bit off in my dream (being somewhat able to breath under water; lights only turning on very dimly), although I failed to become lucid. Then I woke up in the middle of the night, realized that I had noted those obvious dream signs, and decided to try to WILD back to sleep.
I was somewhat able to maintain consciousness as I drifted back to sleep, and it soon became apparent that I was in a dream state. In the dream, I spun around in circles while rubbing my hands together and singing softly, and the dream did seem to strengthen / intensify. Here's the kicker, though: I was completely unable to see anything.
I didn't see darkness, and I wasn't blind - I just for some reason experienced zero visual stimulation in this dream. This has never happened to me before (that I can recall), and I'm sure it was related to the lucidity. Any tips on... being able to see? What should I do next time?
Thanks!
