Hey everyone!
There are lots of news for you! First of is me. My name is u/TechSavvySiren and I am a new mod of this Subreddit. This means that going forward I will help u/twinky1919 handle inappropriate posts and other things that need a mod to handle!
Today there are 2 other things I would like to talk about. One of this being the VOLUNTARY Verification that is possible in this subreddit, the other being some repeatedly breaking subreddit rules.
#1 Verification:
Lets talk about verification! Our subreddits process of verification is pretty easy on all of you, and is mainly handled by u/twinky1919. Verification is mainly thought of as a way to recieve higher engagement in posts, but targets mainly to women due to the increasing numbers of users faking their gender in posts.
Currently there are 3 possible Flairs to verify with that being female, male and non binary. To successfully verify all you need to do is send a picture of you holding a piece of paper with your username and the date clearly written on it. The picture should also clearly display you gender. Feel free to reach out to us by using the modmail if you have any issues, questions or concerns regarding verification.
Now I want to tell you about my experience with being verified. Since verifying I have seen no clear increase in engagement with my posts, which probably does not come as a surprise to any other Women since there never was any downtime to begin with. There are some positives I was able to notice though. The first being that people tend to respect my choices more. In the past i regularly had people try to push boundaries that I had set or being disrespectful, this has gotten significantly less to my surprise. I am absolutely unsure why or if this will be a persisting experience, but for now it definetly is.
#2 A Warning:
Now to the less pleasurable topic. Lately there have been more posts of people posting something that I call a "friend link", basically a lovense link that is a friend request in disguise. In a way its a "trojan remote link" (LOL). I want to stress AGAIN that this sub is dedicated to Remote Control Links, if you are looking for more permanent play there are many other subreddits providing this platform. There naturally is no issue with you exchanging usernames/contact details during control, but we do not wish to see people being baited into accepting friend requests!
I really hope that everyone can respect the other users on the sub and not overstep any boundaries and I hope to see you around and maybe even control you!
PS: I would also like to note again that all comments are disabled since a month ago. Aside from those made by the original post submitter. All comments that hold any kind of actual value to the subreddit will still be manually approved.
