My top three episodes for LDR
Post Body

WARNING: bear in mind this does contain a few spoilers though, so if you haven't watched all episodes, I recommend you do so.

Hi! Now, while I know everyone has very different opinions about this, I still want to show my love for the series overall and its episodes. So (while obvious) I'd appreciate it if offensive comments are refrained, thank you.

So, these aren't in any particular order because, honestly, if you have three favourite episodes form LDR it's really hard to decide the hierarchy.

  1. Secret war: LOVED IT, everything about it, and honestly it almost made me cry (and I don't even know why). The plot and graphics and music and sounds and animation and the little detail twist at the end. When I saw the young man call the tenant (I think he was a tenant) "father" I was like: "oh no". The speech the tenant gave at the end: "We stand here. We DIE here. It has been an HONOUR" made me put myself in that situation and actually, made it even better. I wondered what I would do if I was in a platoon and new this was exactly my last battle and I'm guaranteed to die here. I'd fight my life off, literally. On the other hand, would I rather be taken by the enemy or die by myself? I think it was a nice detail they added one soldier take the latter choice. Tragic, and majestic at the same time.

  2. Good Hunting: I know there might be some controversy here. Still, I think it's one of the best episodes it has. The animation, the concept, the rawness, the mix of fairytale with modernisation. The portrayal of the past problem we had (and still have, but back then it was way more immerse and severe) about men who thought they could own a woman, as the episode very much wants to portray. I thought it was a work of art. The fact you could see "spirits" get their head cut off, as actual sentient beings and not some "ghost" was a twist I loved.

  3. Three Robots: now, I had an internal battle with myself here. Originally, I was gonna give this spot to "lucky 13" but I already had one soldier/war related top so, maybe switch it up a little bit. Also, you can also count it as one of my top three, it's basically at the same level as three robots. Now, regarding the actual episode. Personally, I love post-apocalyptic stories/movies. I don't know why but the concept is really attractive to me, and I find it very funny and interesting to see robots from the future discuss things we do currently, as if they were hard to understand. Like, how things we do daily and normal activities are being researched by three robots and discussed. Which kinda made me think: if/when the human race goes extinc, and there's another species (natural or artificial) that discovers what we were like. How would we be remembered? As an advanced civilisation or greedy animals? Because as you might recall, the triangle robot (forgot her name, sorry) said our greed and stupidity cursed our fate. Along with cats with opposable thumbs, of course, but nonetheless we were also stupid and greedy. Is that how we want to be remembered? We could change that now that we have time.

Alright, so this was all, thanks for reading until the end, I appreciate it! I would also love it if you commented, wether it is to agree or disagree, I'm actually interested to read your thoughts on this.
