I started a new strategy that seems pretty reliable for the last few event resets. I know that I need 5 energy refreshers (plus the 2 full ones you unlock on the sven board).

First thing I always do is try to get my toolbox to rank 4. This way it starts to produce the free wood. I actually don't even go for any extra toolbox parts once I get mine to rank 4.

Next is working on clearing out the rest of the board for paint shop supplies, gems and energy. I never clear my full board (I found the map on the wiki page). After I clear out whatever I need on the board, I never manually click the toolbox again and just let it generate free wood for me.

When I get the workbench, I only get that to level 4 and leave myself with 2 level 4 benches. By the 2nd day I am typically around level 6 and try to prioritize pushing out those electrical parts. I know for a fact that I'll need a crocodile and 2 gorillas (for the few 2 levels) as well as a drone (or 2?), so it's never wasted parts and it pretty much keeps my generators on cooldown.

I will typically try to push out those electric parts as priority even if my current quests don't need them, otherwise I find that I fall behind.
