I'll be passing through your state in mid-September, going west to east from Caddo Lake in TX to central-ish Mississippi (the MS part of this roadtrip is still up in the air, but I do need to go north eventually). The only thing I know about LA is geared towards New Orleans and the bayous, but I think everywhere has its special places and I'd love to explore your northern backyard while I'm there. If you know a yummy roadside restaurant, weird roadside attraction, blooming gardens, favorite festival, cool market, interesting museum, beautiful dispersed/primitive camp or car camp area, or other random thing I shouldn't leave your state without experiencing, please share!
I enjoy connecting with people and discovering new places. Of particular interest to me are: pottery/ceramics studios, artistry or craftsmanship, historical stuff, and beautiful, safe spots to car camp.
Thanks!
