Hey all
Looking to make some plans for around Xmas and was thinking about getting an Airbnb either in Mammoth Lakes or Big Bear. I'm wondering if there's any reliable way to see what the winter / snow predictions look like for that time of year in those places.
I'm not a skiier but just miss the snow and wintertime being a Chicago native. Plus my one dog loves the snow and our other hasn't been exposed yet. This might be the last chance they get to see it if our relocation to SE Asia goes through next year. The good thing about being in Cali is being able to pick and choose when I want to freeze my ass off.
Also not sure if anyone has any insight in to this, but is there a reason why I can't seem to find actual houses or chalets to rent in Mammoth and only condos? I've been up to Mammoth in the past and stayed at a friend's cabin / chalet. It was two floors with multiple bedrooms but for some reason I don't see anything like those on either site. Wondering if there are some rules or whatever regulating what's available to rent.
