WTF! Its just me and a roommate in a house. He told me to try to limit air conditioning use during Summer. I come from the east coast so this is all new to me. I bought a window unit and only use it 3 hrs a day. One hour in the afternoon after work and 2 at bedtime And it automatically turns off.

My roommate blamed me for the high cost saying its cause I use that AC, i told him there is no way its that high because I use the AC 3 hrs a day ( I was also out of town for 2 weeks)

Is it really me window unit thats causing this?

EDIT: just realized my roommate has a electric car and uses a CHARGER in the garage. Is that why its so high? I’ll have to talk to him later.

ANOTHER EDIT: I checked with a friend who owns a house in Hollywood and he uses the AC sometimes but told me his bill looks very similar to mine.
