So are multi-hit attacks bugged/disabled?

I'm just wondering because none of my weapons will perform their L1 R2 combos. Not even Elianne's Pieta's Longswords nor the duel Lightreaper swords special combos.
Edit: Also, yes, I did complete Isaac's quest line in my first playthrough and completed the umbral ending, and used the Odd Stone with Pieta in my second playthrough. I'm now currently in my second NG 1, but even at the end of my second playthrough, neither of these combos nor any other L1 R2 combo with any other weapons would work for me.
