We met online a while ago, and have been pretty comfortable in a long distance relationship ever since. Covid hit right after we started dating, making it impossible to see each other with one of us in Canada and the other in Scotland. We finally saw each other twice this year, and they just got on a plane to go back home today after visiting me for my birthday. After everything, we realized the intimacy just wasn't there anymore. We just feel like friends. I'm sad, really sad. It's just so weird to have something about my life change in such a massive way but also doesn't really impact my day-to-day in any way. We'll still talk, probably every day, but it means I'm also single outside of that. I know I'll settle into this feeling eventually but man... I don't know what to do with myself right now.
