I ā€œmetā€ my current boyfriend online in 2020 and we have been talking for almost 2 years now, but havenā€™t met due to covid. We would like to meet in europe and eventually live there for some time prior to getting married, as obtaining a US visa for him would be impossible due him having an American bf. I am unable to live in Pakistan due to my job.

To further complicate this situation, neither of us have substantial amounts of money. He has less than $1000 in savings and makes about $300 per month. He has a bachelors degree and has been employed at a software company for almost 2 years. His age is 27. I make a close to average American salary and have a low 5 figure amount of money in savings.

Since neither of us has substantial resources, and he has a very low chance of obtaining a visa in most countries, what would be the best option to live together in a developed nation with a low cost of living, such as say in europe?

We have thought about student and work visas, but everything seems out of reach right now. I feel very frustrated because thereā€™s nothing more right now that I want to do is live with my bf, but I feel like my life has been on pause for 2 years now.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
