Why do people find it right to fake their deaths?

Post Body
I've been seeing posts of LD partners faking their deaths when they want to end a relationship and I really can't get my head around why people do that. Is it so hard to just break up rather than jinxing yourself to a death especially by accident or a deadly disease? I find it so weird. Is communicating really thus hard?
