Me and my partner are closing the gap in a few short months, but WOW the home stretch is brutal! We just spent 2 amazing weeks together in his home and the comedown from that has been harder than we could have imagined. I feel displaced and lonely in my own home because my home is him now ❤️ I know we will make it and time will go by and we will be holding each other saying "we made it" before we know it, but the pain and difficulty of long distance is most felt in moments like this. Something that I've been holding onto to help has been the sight of all the couples saying their goodbyes at the airport before me and my partner had to part. There are so many people doing this out there, and it's so inspiring and motivating to see a whole community of people making distance work and thriving when they finally get there.
We are so close, and I know the pain is extra deep right now because the love is so strong and intense. I wouldn't trade any part of this journey for anything easier or different. Give me the pain and difficulty of a love and adventure like this any day, it is unbelievably worth it knowing soon I can hold you again and we can finally wake up together forever. See you soon my love 😘
