GHUB: HUGE frustration trying to customize a single button
Post Body

I currently own a G502 wireless. The placement of several options are very unintuitive and all over the place and I spent over 30 minutes trying to do a simple command change to my mouse key. Something I should have been able to do in less than 5 minutes.

First of all, my mouse was in onboard mode set to a custom profile, and I wanted to change a few keys for my mouse buttons. When I opened GHub, the most intuitive thing to do is press the mouse image, but I was greeted by a page you could have found in G HUB Settings -> My gear instead. So I thought I pressed the wrong button, pressed back and clicked the next most logical button; The Active profile icon. Obviously that does nothing and I could not find any button to allow me to change hotkeys. So I pressed back and tried the 3rd most logical button, the gear icon. Of course it doesn't work and I spend 5 minutes clicking everything only to find out that I have to ENABLE software control first to ALLOW button configuration. And So I did, and my problem should be over right?

So I happily change my keys, saved my profile, and wanted to set my keyboard back to onboard mode.. except that I couldn't find the onboard mode button. Since the last time I pressed the mouse image, it took me to the GLOBAL settings for my mouse, It would make sense that the same button would take me back to that page right? But nope, since software control is enabled clicking the mouse image takes me to a configuration page instead of a global configuration page. And instead of having an extra tab for global configuration, or a small icon somewhere so I can set mouse to onboard mode, I have to go back to the main page, press the gear icon again, and press my gear, press the SAME IMAGE of my mouse on a DIFFERENT page in order to be able to set On-Board Memory mode to ON.

Finally everything is done, the SLOT1 was showing the correct profile, and I was able to customize my mouse button or so I thought. I launched my game again, and found that my mouse button settings hasn't been changed at all! At this moment my frustration went through the roof and I had to go back to Ghub to fiddle with all the settings again to see what I did wrong. Turns out my new settings wasn't uploaded to the mouse despite the program showing the profile being in SLOT1. I had to replace it with another profile, then replace it back in order to force the program to UPLOAD the new settings to the mouse.

And thus I took 30 minutes trying to customize a single button on my mouse and set it back to onboard memory mode. Something I should have been able to do in 5 minutes. So I decided to spend another 30 minutes to write this feedback, so nobody should ever have to go through what I did just to change.

Thank you for reading.
