G500 intermittent connection

The mouse has been working fine for years and for the past month it has started disconnecting during fast movements. It is most noticeable during games.

I can reproduce it by simply making a select box on my desktop and spam it around a bit. While it happens I get the following showing up in my devices, at times it will disappear and reappear too. There are also times it freezes the mouse but doesn't report the driver errors in the device list.

This has really started to bug me. I have tried everything I can possibly think of but nothing has fixed it.
