Hello experts. I am near Dublin Ireland and not a locksmith.
I have this type of lock on my entry door. The device has stopped functioning properly and I keep getting locked inside of my house. I have been told by two locksmiths that this type is no longer available and cannot be sourced. I have been told my option is to change the front door.
I'm flabbergasted that is my only option. I would be googling this lock myself but the only markings on it is the number 95. Can anyone tell me what this type of lock is called?
This seems like it should be a €100 fix (if that) and not a €3000 fix.
Anyone have any professional advice...even if it is Yes, you need to change the front door suck it up.
Thank you in advance
I am not in the UK so I don't know much about these. However, I would try to see if you can find an older locksmith that has experience with these locks. It may take some research and time. However, the old school guys can probably rebuild that lock. You probably found the locksmiths that like to rip and replace.
