I've always had an interest in trying Locksport out and I have been watching LPL on and off for years and McNally more recently. Price and quality always held me back though from trying before, so when I learned about the Covert Instruments FNG set I jumped on the opportunity to finally give it a shot.
I've had fun with the clear padlock in the set studying how everything moves when I manipulate things.
I'm going to start my request by saying I don't know if I am overthinking this but I'm just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for locks a newbie can use to practice on? Like I know to an extent a lock is a lock but I know different things will have different security features , so I just don't want to accidentally that may be a little above me or the tools I currently have.
My biggest criteria is I'd prefer to keep them on the cheaper side, I'd like to buy a couple and budgeting is a thing. I'd also prefer padlocks but I am open to other suggestions too.
I'm just going to thank everyone ahead of time for their help.
