No numbers or lore yet but I've had this concept for a while and would be interested in developing it with other people.
Essenically a champion where each ability has a binary switch that can be flipped back and forth while the ability is in effect.
Passive: Polarity
Ferroson’s abilities all have polarity, after casting an ability Ferroson replaces that ability with ‘Reverse Polarity Q/E/W/R’ with a 5/4/3/2s cooldown and no cost.
Q: Magnetise
Ferroson magnetises target area for 3s, enemies that enter the magnetised area take magic damage and are magnetised for 3s. Ferroson is attracted to the magnetised are and nearby magnetised units (movement due to this effect adds on to movement in any other direction but doesn’t interrupt channeling). Reverse Polarity Q: Changes this ability from attractive to repulsive and vice versa.
W: Spotlight
Summon a spotlight that sweeps the surrounding area in a cone twice over 4s. The spotlight sees over walls and into brush, dealing magic damage to enemies inside it and revealing invisible champions. Reverse Polarity W: Changes the spotlight sweep from clockwise to anticlockwise and vice versa.
E: Charged Skin
Grant target ally a decaying movespeed and tenacity bonus for 3s. Reverse Polarity E: Switches from granting movespeed and tenacity to granting adaptive force and attack speed and vice versa.
R: Particle Accelerator
Create a vector targeted line for 6/8/10s that accelerates all units, projectiles and traps along it at a rate that scales with ap. Projectiles and traps affected by this ability can also hit enemy champions (for example this could be used to deflect Jinx rockets or push caitlyn traps into enemies). Enemy units accelerated into walls take damage scaling with their speed. Reverse Polarity R: Reverse the direction of the acceleration and vice versa.
I thought it would be cool to have a character who played around with physics, so I decided to introduce concepts like acceleration and addative speed.
The way these abilities would work ideally is that any movement due to them is added on to the movement the champion is doing. The same way vectors would be added together in physics.
What attracted me to the idea was that I can see some high skill cap play involving knowing how to set up abilities as well as keeping track of when to change each of them.
Concept is early days but would love any feedback people have to offer.
