I've been wanting something to track my items, like my carkeys, laptop bag, etc. So I can see where I've left them, especially whether I left them at home, the office, in the car, a coffee shop, etc. So I'm looking for more than just a Bluetooth tracker. Something to locate items potentially kilometers away. Ideally I need a cross-platform solution, so not AirTags (which don't fully work in South Korea anyway) and not Galaxy Smart Tags (Samsung-only).
A decent seeming alternative are Tile trackers. They seem to operate under a similar mechanism - any phone user running the Tile app becomes part of the location finding network. But they don't seem to be that popular or well-known in Korea which seems like it would severely limit the actual trackability of Tiles.
Does anyone in Korea use Tiles? Are there enough other users that you can generally get a good location check on them?
