I went on a tangent tonight after googling “Who is the hot redheaded guitarist for SNL” (also an amazing guitarist, Maddie Smith!!) P.S. Maddie I’m single…DM me 🤣

I had no idea about the amazing career before (and after) SNL of amazing guitarist and band leader for over a decade, G.E. Smith.

-1979 to 1985 - guitarist for Hall & Oates -1985 to 95 SNL bandleader (I watched almost every episode with my dad, and loved his amazing soulful intros and outros)

Then after 10 years on SNL
-1988-90- Bob Dylan’s 30th anniversary tour -2010-13 Lead guitarist for Roger Waters’ “The Wall” tour. (Anyone that knows PF, knows that filling David Gilmour shoes is quite the task.)

Also Touredwith Buddy Guy, fronted his own side projects, Moonslice, etc… and filled in and played with tons other legends. Check Wifi for the full run, and take some time to look up his YouTube stuff.
