I’ve been watching SNL since my dad would let me stay up late and join him in the early 80s. I make it a point to watch episodes live as often as I can
I have always been amazed at the make up and wardrobes (especially the hair pieces) of the show. They been incredibly impressive over the years.
I’m sure New York is one of the best places in the world to find whatever weird piece of clothing they need, but I’ve often thought about how fun it would be to go out and search for this stuff.
I watched the YouTube documentary on the one week timeline of making an episode (highly recommended) and it definitely brought to light how hard the staff works to put together an episode in such a short amount of time.
No, I’m not in this industry, I just thought it at the proper time to shine a light on these unsung heroes! 😜
Let’s give them a shout out with some of your favorite costume, and make up memories over the years
