Deadly slow AC2200

I just got new fibre internet and my system is extremely slow. I get 500mb down and 112mb up when connected directly to the providers modem via wifi. When I connect to the velop system I’m lucky If I’m even getting 30mb down and 10mb up, even when I’m close to the node.
I’ve tried rebooting the router, the entire velop system and also changed the cord from the router to the base station. I also turned off device priority as well.
Any help would be awesome!
