5G modem + Linksys Velop bridge mode

Apologies if this is me being thick... I'm trying to extend my wifi from my 5g modem to the rest of my house using the velop system. I'm confused regarding bridge mode as both of them have this feature.
Am I meant to set my 5G router to bridge mode OR the velop?
Do I use the original modem network to connect my devices to or whatever I set the velop's up as?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I seem to be running myself in circles.
