is there anyway to enable HIDE on the display cutout for lineageos 18.1?

Supposedly it wasn't a thing until android 12 which worked fine on my previous phone with android 12, but I need it for android 11. Every magisk module I've tried (n3o, none display cutout, etc) have been utterly useless.
I'm using a pixel 5a on android 11 and the option for hide is simply not there. Pls tell me there's a functional way to get rid of this ugly-ass blemish in my display?
