I don't understand what upgrade and what I don't

Even when I red the master guide here I don't understand much for what I have to do.

I'm a level 23 Warrior Dwarf (guardian wannabe) and There i something that is obscure to me:

I have a Samurai sword grade R do I have to level up this or level up another weapon?
ho do I get SR? combining two A or two S?
It's good to use weapon C-B to level up?? or it's better the varnish?
to get 2 A weapon do I need to drop it? or level up a C weapon to A then combine?
on what set of armour I have to focus on? for now I drop only blue wolf and blood something :)
