Seriously considering starting a small server for friends.

I used to play Lineage2 when i was young and I have very fond memories of the pre-GOD chronicles. I have all the Server files, hardware, and software required but, I'm wondering if there is any point to host a server with 4-5 people running around on a low rate interlude server. Any thoughts? Has anyone tried this already and was it fun?
