As a D1 athlete sometimes I prioritized my sport over my academics and eventually it came back to bite me. I got called into my coaches office one day and he told me that the school had assigned a tutor for me and that if I didn’t pass all my classes I would lose my scholarship and be kicked off the team. Obviously I was annoyed but at least I had some nerd to do all my work now. Or I thought that’s what you’d do, maybe you’d need some convincing.
