Lightroom super laggy?

I’m hoping this is the proper thread to ask, but does anyone experience adobe light room being extremely slow and laggy? To the point where you feel like you’re using a potato? It happens both on my high end gaming PC and my high end gaming laptop, when i open this program and use it, it’s awfully and painfully slow and laggy. Does anyone else experience this, if so, how can I fix it?
