Once finished, the cherry block below the cherry burl will have a small, highly directional amber (warm) light pointed at the center of the polished burl to highlight its beauty and act as low key ambiance light.
I want directional light because I don't want the area hit by the light to exceed the edges of the much, preferably at all. The base block will be carved out to be a tray/bowl with other final touches added. The light fixture will be mounted as far away from the upright burl, pointed upward at an angle.
The light can be between 12 and 16" from the upright burl and the center of the polished burl will be ~8.5" above the surface of the block for a line of sight of ~17-18".
Does anyone have any advice? Ideally it would be powered by a common 110v American outlet and not batteries. Thanks!
