My idea for a culture of education
Post Body

For context, I am from the UK. Apologies for using mobile.

Education should be geared towards the findings of our predessors, and then developed to teach topics from their findings. For example, the works of Nikola Tesla could be taught, and from there children could learn how AC transmission works ect. This can be further expanded upon into subjects. This will teach the practicalities of our world, giving them a deeper understanding of HOW things work, and potentially inspiring future learnings.

This should be taught by teachers. Not the ones we have today. Instead teachers should be the UTMOST respected profession, and should therefore be the most qualified. They are essential to the passing on of human knowledge. However, I despair at the state of schools, and the quality of modern teachers. They spend their time on disciplinary matters, and ensuring students memorise facts for exams. They should TEACH and engrain knowledge into our children. However, this will require a culture of learning, which is the antithesis of our culture today.

Too many children are influenced by the wrong things, and that is a key defining trait of children: they are easily influenced. Therefore, I propose a different system of education.

This system should be implemented from years 7 - 9 (6th to 8th grade US) (students choose their GCSE qualifications towards the end of year 9 in the UK), where at the end of each year, the children decide which topics interested them the most. After all, we are a species on a spectrum (more on that later). Then, at the end of year 9, the school, after qualified deliberation, find the best profession or role for the child in society. The child does not have to follow this path, they should be free to choose their own decisions in life. However, it will hopefully provide them with a purpose. And that is what most people lack. A purpose which interests them, and therefore inspires them to further it to their full potential.

Menial jobs should be done by machines/AI. Why should any human have to spend their lives cementing bricks, when they could be pursuing their passion, and furthering humanity? (Unless they want to cement bricks) (No offence, I have the utmost respect for labourers)

Our current system of education, I believe, stems from our societal need for hierarchy. The system of education in place in the UK today us favourable to the Middle and upper classes, and those soon to join them. Let me explain.

It benefits those who go on to do professions, through higher education, but does not support those who leave this system. Not every human is the same. Not every human is an academic. The human kind, just like all of nature, is on a spectrum.

The main goal of humanity should be furthering our species. This toxicity currently in place in the Western world will be our doom. We must help each other. Why discriminate and hate against those of our own race? We need to learn to actually think, and love one another. For we are one.

We should be one. One nation, one people, one species working towards advancing our species. I do not talk of global domination, do not think me Adolf reincarnate. Instead, I talk of a collective agreement amongst us humans to disband our archaic country system. It only leads to war, or inequality, exploitation and hatred. It puts people into groups, and it is human nature to outcast and take advantage of those groups who are a minority, or different to the general population.

We must realise we are one.
