Every state and federal prison should be ran like the Marine Corps’ CCU

In the Marine Corps, we have the brig and CCU. The brig is the civilian equivalent of jail, then we have CCU, Correctional Custody Unit. It was designed by the Marine Corps to rehabilitate shitbags, rather than kicking their asses out with a potentially dishonorable discharge (Equivalent of a felony,) It’s basically boot camp on steroids, but not necessarily meant to be like prison, and everyone in the CCU gets sent back to their unit eventually.

Every state and federal prison should be ran just like that. Just that there is no rehabilitation, it’s how you’ll live for the rest of your life, or at least while you wait out your long term sentence.

If you’re not eating, shitting, or showering , you’re working all day (Breaking rocks.) You’re not napping, you’re not bullshitting with the boys.

I know you didn’t get sent to prison for stealing cookies or smoking a blunt.
