As the title implies, I am pretty relaxed in my ability to swim and keep myself moving in the water and underwater! However, when it comes to practicing for my brick test, I can't seem to stop "scaring" myself. I am very boyant (if that makes sense) and float pretty easily so I know I will end up coming back up to the surface but when I feel the ear pressure and the twinge of pain going down, I get scared that I am gonna drown even if I am comfortable being underwater?
I also have trouble getting myself to stay underwater because I keep floating back up like my body is resisting going downwards ! (Is there any tips for that as well)
I have pretty iffy eye sight! I have a pretty average astigmatism (not too severe to the point where i can't spot the brick but i still have to squint a bit) and must wear everyday glasses. Is that okay if I am becoming a lifeguard (i will be allowed fo wear my glasses during the shift if I get certified)
How to help myself practice the egg beater because i am really struggling with that?
For any context if needed, I'm (17F) 5'6 and about 195LBs, thank you for your help and reading this.
