I’m the kind of person who used to read a Birthday or holiday card and toss it, not really appreciating the sentiment fully. My mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and within the span of a year went from living on her own to moving in with me and forgetting my name. She even forgot how to write her own name. I have 1 or 2 cards I stashed away one is a birthday card and another from my highschool graduation I have saved and seeing her written words and signature is everything to me. Cards don’t take up much space , put them in their own box and keep them in a closet, you’ll be glad you did. Don’t take the little things for granted.
