So my mom had some major dental issues recently, and after it was all fixed the dentist advised her to use a water flosser and an electric toothbrush. The dentist gave my mom a free water flosser and offered her a fancy 'smart' electric toothbrush for $110 (which she gladly bought).
I checked online, and the brush retails here for $160 to $180. Apparently dentists get these brushes dirt cheap from the manufacturer. Yes, I know it's kind of an ad for the manufacturer, but given the number of posts I've seen here advising people to switch to electric, you might as well get it from your dentist if you're upgrading.
