LPT: if you have a product that breaks outside of the window of warranty, contact the company directly, be respectful and nice and ask if they can do anything help, you’d be amazed how often they can, if they say no, thank them anyways and move on, it never hurts to ask.

I just learned that most credit cards actually have their own warranty on products you buy with them. I would have never thought to do this.
